New natural fibers that make you feel good.

Patent pending technology transforms banana plant waste into circular & traceable natural plant fiber.

Banana plants, the most produced fruit on the planet, hold the key to the worlds next natural fiber and materials. By engineering a new delignification technology and forming an industrial supply chain of regenerative plant waste the fields that feed us become the fuel for the fabrics that surround our lives.

News & Press

Two supply chains become one.

When bananas are harvested the plant stem is cut to leave room for new growth. We take a specific percentage of this and extract water, biomass, and fiber. Fiber is then gently softened to be useful for textiles, nonwovens, and composites. It’s that simple.

Positive impact, everywhere.

The Rule of 1.

One Earth

Everything we need already exists.

One Crop

The most produced fruit in the world produces a waste stream with enough natural fiber to double the volume of cotton today — at a fraction of the impact.

One Goal

New natural fiber that benefits the global well being of people and planet with the economics suitable for industrial scale.

A waste product first.

Starting from farming waste, we unlock a performance centric fiber by keeping cellulose intact just like cotton, we repurpose what isn't needed back into our system, and this results in a natural fiber with a quality that sits between cotton and wool. We sell bales of natural banana fiber by engaging with the textile supply chain across brands and material manufacturers.

There’s no better fiber for the planet than one that comes from a feedstock that provides the nutrients for humanity, forever.

Put nutrients into your products!

Since 2020 we have been building the business for an industrial banana fiber supply chain. We understand industry demands across economics, performance, and impact and we are here to unlock climate targets and to craft consumer stories with you. This is undeniable, own the impact with us.

About

The team at ESG Brands have been operating in the apparel and footwear space for a collective 75-years; some were managers of each other at institutional brands in sportswear and outdoor before coming back together to tackle climate change for the industry. This company was formed as a result of a discovery that banana fiber could enable brands to meet climate targets.

From past experience the team understood the assignment: to build a supply chain and develop a technology that enabled ESGs banana fibers to sit beside the incumbent materials of today: cotton, wool, and biosynthetics. A robust supply chain was formed, technologies patent pending, and governments and NGOs have gotten behind the team to scale the world’s next natural fiber.

Build a collection with us and be part of the impact from the start. This fiber is for you, and the stories to tell are undeniable.
